Is it free?

Yes — 5 photos a day, free forever. If you want more (or meal plans tied to your fridge), there'll be a $4.99/mo tier later. Right now everything's free while we refine it.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Just save the number as a contact in your phone and text it like you'd text any friend. Works on iPhone, Android, even a flip phone as long as it sends MMS.

How fast will I get a reply?

Usually within a few seconds. First time you text us, we'll quickly ask about allergies or diet restrictions before sending ideas — takes the edge off of any back-and-forth later.

What if I have an allergy or follow a specific diet?

Tell us when we ask. We'll respect nut-free, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, and anything else you throw at us — and filter out ideas that don't fit. Reply reset any time to update.

Do you keep my photos?

Your photo is processed, the ingredient list is stored, and the image itself is deleted within 30 days. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties.

Does it actually know what's in my fridge?

Mostly, yes — we use vision AI to identify what's visible. Obscured items, blurry photos, and weird angles can trip it up. If we're unsure, we'll ask for a clearer shot instead of guessing.

Can it give me recipe steps?

Not yet — right now you get three ideas + a one-line hint. If you want the steps, reply "how do I make option 2?" and we'll send them. Coming soon in a more polished form.

What does it cost you to reply?

Real talk: each suggestion runs us a few cents in AI + SMS costs. That's why there's a daily cap on the free tier — keeps the lights on while we figure out the right paid offering.
